Primary Purpose:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be an integral part of our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will perform job duties that ensure our vendors get paid for services and products rendered for our Twinsburg Ohio companies. They will review and process invoices, research purchase orders and receipts to gather all costs, answer vendor inquiries, reconcile vendor statements, update, and maintain vendor files and issue, match and distribute checks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily processing of Accounts Payable invoices, proper GL coding, and ensuring internal accounting controls.
  • Assists in resolving vendor payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
  • Participates in month end review to ensure all recurring expenses and receipts have been recorded in the current month using the proper accounts.
  • Ability to maintain a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries.
  • Issuing, matching, and distributing vendor payments.
  • Scanning of vendor invoices into PDF format.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

  • 2 -5 years of Accounts Payable experience using a major ERP with 3-way matching (Purchase Orders, Receipts and Invoices).
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Possess strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Able to interact within a team environment.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Great Attendance (Mon through Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm)
  • 10 Key Proficiency.
